2015 performance

The following table shows hypothetical returns for the tracked ETFs in 2015, given three different strategies: buy and hold1 the ETF throughout the period of interest, enter long only2 positions based on Preddix signals, or enter both long and short3 positions based on Preddix signals.

Past signals and returns over time for a particular ETF can be viewed by clicking on the plus sign at the end of each row. For clarity, the graphs only shows the first Buy signals (“B” markers) issued after a series of Sell signals (“S”), and vice-versa. Hold signals are not shown.

1 The buy & hold return is the hypothetical return that would have been obtained by holding the ETF throughout the period of interest, accounting for dividends.
2 The long only return is the hypothetical return that would have been obtained by buying the ETF when a “buy” signal is published by Preddix, and selling it when a “sell” signal is published. Entry price is assumed to be the close price when the “buy” signal is published, and the exit price is assumed to be the close price when the “sell” signal is published. Preddix cannot guarantee that any person bought or sold ETFs for the published prices. No leverage is assumed in the return calculation.
3 The long and short return is the hypothetical return that would have been obtained by buying the ETF when a “buy” signal is published, and shorting it when a “sell” signal is published.  In practice, it may not be possible to short the ETF itself.  However, it may be possible to buy an inverse ETF that tracks the same index. No leverage is assumed in the return calculation.
4 Performance figures posted on Preddix are hypothetical. They are based on hypothetical trades subscribers may have potentially entered based on published signals. The prices listed are for reference only and are in no way intended to represent an actual trade, entry price or exit price. Investors may receive greater or lesser returns based on their trading experience, market price fluctuations, brokerage fees, and other factors.
